Human Limitations

Talking about the senses, the intellect or the knowledge: even a person who does not believe in The God, would admit readily that our senses: like seeing and hearing are not infinite, they are, rather, limited. Our perceptions too are confined and limited, and could be easily deceived or that they can deceive us too. We also are aware of our limitations that there is a limit to which we can reach out with our intellectual abilities. For example, we know that the Universe is ever-expanding, and the known expanse of the universe that we are able to map is about 500 Billion Light Yearsa distance that we can never reach-out to physically investigate; on the other hand we are also confined by limitations to explore distances that are smaller than a Planck Length (1 meter = 1.6×1035). The Planck length is the scale at which classical ideas about gravity, space and time cease to be valid, and quantum effects dominate (still a theory and not a fact).

With our limited senses and scientific observation, we already know that we are simply oblivious to a matter that fills approximately 70% of the Space, and we call it The Dark Matter, simply because we have no clue about it, as we can’t see it, but it exists!

We are aware that there are things beyond scientific observations that do exist within our own natural construct and we have named them variously like emotions (love, anger, sympathy, apathy, empathy etc.), feelings (happiness, sadness, ugly etc.), moral / ethical (right and wrong, the good and the bad).

It has become amply clear to the scientists that, no matter how much we may grow in science and technology, we will still have many areas beyond the reach of human perception, simply because of the limitations of our physical constitution, i.e. the way we are made! An example of that would be the knowledge about The God, Who is beyond all observed facts and evidences! He is from the Unseen, Unobserved, Unknown – a domain beyond human perception! The God has none like Him, but we can feel the presence of The God through His “impeccable creation”, and through the “messengers” who received revelation directly from Him.

In essence, despite the human limitations, it is not difficult for the humans to realize the existence of The God, and that there is a purpose in our creation. To know that purpose, there is a need that we look into the message or the revelations from The God, which He kept sending, time to time, through the chosen people – the Prophets!
