About Dawah Now
Dawah Now is Kuwait-based community of active volunteers, dedicated to inviting people to Islam under the patronage of IPC Kuwait. Its main objective is to present Islam in its right perspective, and to further peaceful coexistence of people belonging to different ethnicities and backgrounds. Dawah Now derives its approach from “iERA’s – Mission Dawah”, and strives to remove misconceptions about Islam using rational reasoning and logic. Founded in 2013, the organization’s main outlook is based on the following Ayah of Qur’an:
Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and goodly exhortation, and reason with them in the best manner possible. Surely, your Lord is aware of those who stray from His path, and He is aware of those who are guided. (Al-Nahl: 16:125)
Dawah Now strives to engage with the wider society by articulating compassionate message of Islam through Street Dawah, Table Dawah, Dawah Campaigns, Lectures / Seminars and by participating in other Community Services.
Dawah Now routinely conducts Street Dawah activities in different parts of Kuwait. All volunteers who have attended formal trainings are eligible to participate in our Dawah campaigns.
Among the core of Dawah Now strengths, is the “Training and Capacity Building” of Volunteers in ‘Effective Communication’ of Islam. It routinely conducts training programs and knowledge sessions for the volunteers with the aim to equip the volunteers with essential skills required to deliver effective Dawah.
Who we are?
Dawah Now is a Volunteer Initiative, under the patronage of Islam Presentation Committee (IPC) of Kuwait (http://ipc.org.kw/en), which is an affiliate of Al Najat Charity (http://www.alnajat.org.kw/al-najat-charity), established in 1399 AH (1978 CE). IPC with its focus upon Presenting and Teaching Islam to non-Muslims, is the hub of various activities and initiatives that reach out to common people with authentic information about Islam and Muslims.
Dawah Now is not a Charitable, nor Fund Raising, nor Political, nor Aid Organization that would deal in helping people through material and financial aids and supports.
Dawah Now focuses its efforts within the narrow niche of “Inviting People to Islam” through various means and its purely a voluntary effort that is managed by the volunteers themselves under the supervision and patronage of Islam Presentation Committee.

Frequently Asked Questions – FAQ
What is Islamic Dawah?
Dawah is an Arabic word which means to invite or call someone. This term has become synonymous with Islamic Dawah, which specifically means “Invitation to Islam”. When Muslims invite other non-Muslims to join with them and share their faith and belief system, it is called Islamic Dawah. Dawah is compulsory upon every Muslim.
Explanation: The Quran instructs believers to: “Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and goodly exhortation, and reason with them in the best manner possible. Surely, your Lord is aware of those who stray from His path, and He is aware of those who are guided. (Al-Nahl: 16:125)”.
In Islam, it is believed that it is only Allah alone, Who inspires people to accept Islam; and Allah inspires only those, who sincerely seek guidance from Him alone! So, it is not up to Muslims to “Convert” others to their faith. The goal of Dawah, then, is merely limited to sharing the information with people; and calling them to seek understanding and guidance from none other than Allah (The Only Almighty God) alone.
Some Muslims actively study and engage in Dawah, while others choose not to speak openly about their faith unless asked for. Rarely, an over-zealous Muslim may debate intensely over religious matters, and insist on convincing someone to believe the “Truth”. Most of the time, however, non-Muslims will find that Muslims are willing to share information about their faith with those who are interested, but will not force upon them.
Why does “Dawah Now” focus exclusively upon Dawah and related topics?
Dawah Now’s primary focus is to pass-on the true message of Islam to the non-Muslim, and to invite them to Islam – The Religion of Peace!
A need was often felt to provide a universal platform that would allow all aspiring individuals to participate in this noble cause during weekends; and to allow them to facilitate each other by mutual support and encouragement to achieve a common goal of inviting people to Islam.
Despite the importance of this grave commandment, there have been only very few individuals, who came forward to struggle in this path, the path of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), which inspired Dawah Now to keep its focus on reviving this noble tradition of the beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
I am a Muslim. How can I support Dawah Now?
Almighty Allah has already favored us immensely with the blessing of Islam. As a Muslim, it is our duty to call others to this beautiful way of Islam. It is a responsibility that comes with the promise of everlasting bliss in the hereafter.
Allah almighty says: “And who is better in speech than one who invites to Allah and acts righteously and says, “Indeed, I am of those who submit (i.e. Muslims)”. (Quran: 41:33).
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said to Ali (RA) as narrated in both Bukhari and Muslim: “By Allah, if a single person is guided by Allah through you, it will be better for you than a whole lot of red camels.”
As to your question about supporting Dawah Now, you can do that by volunteering in the Weekly Street Dawah activities or by joining any of the internal support teams that extend their support to other members of Dawah Now.

I have learnt about Islam, and want to become a Muslim; what should I do now?
First of all, congratulations on this major step that you are about to take. May Almighty Allah make it easy for you and for those that come after you. Becoming a Muslim is a simple and easy process. All that a person has to do is to say a sentence called the Testimony of Faith (Shahaadah), which is pronounced as:
“Ash-hadu alla ilaaha illa Allah, wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan rasoolu Allah.”
These Arabic words mean, “I bear witness that there is no true god (deity) worthy of worshipping other than The God (Allah), and that Muhammad is the Messenger (Prophet) of God (Allah).” Once a person says the Testimony of Faith (Shahadah) with conviction and understanding of its meaning, he/she becomes a Muslim.
Alternatively, we can call you over the phone or meet you in person to help you with the process of pronouncing of Shahadah. In this case, please drop a message through “Contact Us” page along with your contact phone number and email address; and Dawah Now volunteers will approach you through your Contacts.
